Paint Your Poison was born in the spirit of fun and creativity in March 2019! I love making art accessible for non-artists with FUN CHOICES and GLITTER! No studio, we travel to bars, restaurants and private homes for unique paint parties. At Paint Your Poison you get to “pick your poison” with tons of products to paint on and we can also create a custom painting just for your event. I’m always putting into play new ideas on how to change up the paint party scene and grow within the community. Paint Your Poison will be evolving and improving while continuing to give you the best paint party experience possible in Mid-Michigan!
meet the Artists!
AMANDA
Founder of Paint Your Poison, Amanda graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Central Michigan University where she majored in Graphic Design and minored in Art History. After working in the print industry for several years, the paint party business was an obvious choice for her to branch out into entrepreneurship. Amanda is passionate about the arts and a natural teacher. She believes creativity is what makes us human and strives for others to realize their creative potential. She has received glowing reviews from clients and venues with her past experience working in the paint party industry. She is also a freelance Graphic Designer and offers custom laser cutting and engraving.
Melissa
Melissa started painting around the age of 12. She had a natural talent for it and fell in love. She has an associates degree in Graphic Design, but the desire to paint led her to opening her own business painting glass at Melissa Marie Artistry. Her love for the outdoors and numerous backpacking trips are what inspires her art. She has always loved working with people and is very compassionate. She has a strong desire to show others they too can paint, and can use painting to embrace their individual uniqueness.
SIERA
Siera is an amazing artist who’s art carries over into the world of make-up! She works as a freelance make-up artist and loves what she does. She studied art and photography at Lansing Community College. Siera has worked in the paint party industry for several years and is great at making people feel confident in themselves and their own creativity. Ashley
Ashley is a busy momma of 3 sweet girls who loves everything creative. From creating and teaching paintings and classes, to leading a band or doing Halloween makeup she’s your girl. She believes that art is for everyone and loves to share that belief through paint parties! She has over 5 years experience teaching art and is known for her patient and intuitive teaching methods.
COMMUNITY DRIVEN
Our goal is to create a sense of community in a positive, fun environment. The rewarding feeling you get when you create something new alongside your peers is indescribable. We strive for the ability to laugh at ourselves, to turn mistakes into creativity, and to find joy in the simple act of making a mark with a paintbrush. We hope to share these experiences with our guests and friends time and time again.
